Vicki Lee
Vicki has always had an interest in music even as a
child.
Having a mother who sang to her as a child was a huge influence.
Vicki really didn't pursue it very much in her childhood.
She became more interested as a teenager.
She used her singing abilities in High School; she met Dan (her husband).
She graduated from High School and married shortly after at age 17.
Vicki at 18yrs old became a mother of a beautiful baby boy;
she focused her talents on their child.
The next few years she had 3 more sons;
by the time Vicki was 28 she had 4 sons.
After her 3rd child in 1992 she resumed her singing career,
by competing for Talent America which gave her the confidence she needed.
She formed a Trio Act with her son Jimmy and her mother Laura it was called
"Vicki Lee and Company".
As time went on she went on her own and was simply "Vicki Lee".
She played at local areas for various occasions such as campgrounds, gatherings,
organizations.
Since then she's won awards from Downeast Country Music Association,
2001 teamed up with Stevie Cee and formed a duet team calling themselves Pop'N'Country.
Vicki and her mother Laura composed and released her first CD "Touch Of Life"
which lead to winning more awards from DECMA and NACMAI.
Vicki Lee and her husband Dan have now been married 18 years, have 4 sons,
Released her second album June 2004 called "Crossin' On Over
which is receiving great reviews.
Pop'N'Country recently dissolved the duet act to pursue seperate ventures.
Vicki is currently working on putting together a band.
She also finds time to work during the day, attend all the activities of her very
athletic sons,
take care of the household, everyday events, be a good wife to Dan, and perform at various
events
Life is good for Vicki Lee..and every day she thanks The Good Lord.

My name is Laura Smith, I have 5 children 1 son and 4
daughters.
My son is carrying on his dad's name Charles Edward Smith; who has a son also named
Charles IV.
My husband died of lung cancer January 12th,1995.
I have always been able to write short stories, poems and my autobiography.
I had never written any songs until about a year or two after my husband passed away.
I had this particular one on my mind that constantly plagued me.
"Let Me Not Weep" and I wrote that very first song in my husband's memory.
Vicki and I went to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee last March and we won "Song Writers Of
The Year".
I wrote the lyrics and my daughter Vicki composed the music.
and Harry King arranged it all...
Then I seemed to be on a roll and wrote eight more songs.
Meanwhile Vick wrote 3 songs of her own and we created our CD.
The creating of this CD was so important to us; that we braved
the slippery roads and the snow to drive to Winthrop to finish it.
I'm sure my husband has inspired me from the grave.
I feel he is always close by to help me when I need him; we were married 38 years
Who would have ever thought this possible!
I was just a mother raising 5 children, I only went to the 8th Grade.
Later in the early 80's I went back to school and got my GED.
I devoted my life to my children and my sick husband.
When he passed away at age 58, I thought my life was over too.
I met a fine man who also lost his wife about 7 years before we met, who died of lung
cancer.
He lived in the country (which was my husband's plan for us)
he had a motor home (which my husband wanted, so we could travel the world together)
His wife's name was Laura (mine is Laura)
His mother in-law's name was Mary (my mother's name is Mary)
I truly believe that this union was arranged by our mates with the good Lord's help.
I am now living in the country, and traveling to various States with my new found soul
mate.
He also inspires me to write alot of my songs.
I believe in miracles, I strongly believe in fate
I feel my soul mate and I are living proof of that!
I also thank you for letting me share a little about me and my life and family with you.
